Padma Cans & Closures Ltd.

The first company of the Group, Padma Cap Mfg. Co. Ltd., was established in 1987 at Barisal District Town. Initially this Industry started with the manufacturing of Aluminium Pilfer Proof Cap for pharmaceutical, food and beverage industries.

1988

The Company diversified its range of products by manufacturing Glass ampoules, Glass vials & vial seals of pharmaceutical grades, with the setting up of second project, PADMA GLASS LTD. at Barisal District Town.

1994

Under the diversification program, PADMA CANS & CLOSURES LTD. was established in 1994 at Savar, Dhaka, for manufacturing Aluminium Collapsible Tubes for pharmaceutical Industries mainly for marketing the Antiseptic Cream, Skin and Eye Ointments. This is a pioneer in packaging industry in Bangladesh.

1998

The Group commenced operation in making Multilayer Plastic Laminated Tubes in PADMA CANS & CLOSURES LTD. At the end of the year, a high-tech sophisticated laminated product printing machine was installed at Savar Factory, Dhaka. This was the first of its kind in Bangladesh.

1999

Beside this, the aforesaid versatile machine is also being used for printing of multicolored Self-Adhesive Labels in reel-form for labelling bottles with the help of Auto Applicator Machine.

A new setup was also completed at PADMA CANS & CLOSURES LTD., Dhaka for manufacturing of Crown Caps, which are used as closures of Glass Bottles of Soft Drinks, being the only manufacturer of Crown Caps in Bangladesh.

2000

In the beginning of the new millennium, PADMA GROUP came up with another project within Savar Factory premises, Dhaka for making Metal Cans of different types and shapes with multicolored offset printing facilities for the containers of 'paints' and 'coconut hair oil' etc.

2002

Two additional units of Plastic Cap making machines were installed within Savar Factory premises, Dhaka in 2002.

2004

The Group installed a new plant for making Plastic Closures within the premises of PADMA CANS & CLUSERS LTD which are used for capping the PET bottles of Soft Drinks and Bottles of Mineral Water, within Savar Factory premises, Dhaka in 2004.

2006

In 2006 a new project for manufacturing Media Paper, Newsprint, and Writing & Printing Paper was setup at a new site, Rajendrapur, Gazipur District, in the name of PADMA PAPER MILLS LTD. The Plant has gone into production from January, 2008.

2010

Side by side the group has also setup a modern & latest machine of its kind to manufacture PET Bottles within the premises of PADMA CANS & CLOSURES LTD.

2011

The Group has setup another new plant in the name of PADMA BLOWING LTD. at Barisal District Towne for manufacturing Glass Ampoules, Glass Vials & Bottles for pharmaceutical industries. Beside this, the industry manufactures packing materials for pharmaceuticals, food and beverage industries. This plant went into operation from 1st November, 2011.

The Group further decided to diversify the business and has setup a 100% Export Oriented Circular Knit garments industry in the name of BOVS APPAERLS LTD. by the side of Padma Cans & Closures Ltd. This factory has gone into operation with effect from 15th October, 2011. Jersey Wear (Circular Knit) Products such as T-shirt, Polo-shirt, Tank-top, Shorts, Pajama, Polar-fleece legging, Sweet-shirt, Pullover, nightly etc. are being made and exported to defferamt foreign countries.

2012

The Group further has setup another industry in the name of PADMA PLASTIC LTD. within the industrial area of Chittagong District Town. The industry has gone into operation from 14th February, 2012. Multilayer Plastic Laminated Tubes, Labels, PET Bottles, and Plastic Caps are manufactured here.
