About Us
Kasturi was opened in Aldgate High Street in 2002 by acclaimed restaurateur, Bashir Ahmed, who had already established five Indian restaurants in The Netherlands before coming to the UK. Kasturi's kitchen is headed by the renowned Indian chef, Rajendra Balmiki. Together, Bashir and Rajendra have set new standards for serving authentic and high quality regional Indian food.
The primary focus is on healthy eating. This is achieved through the careful selection of ingredients and special cooking methods, pioneered on the subcontinent.
Based in the City, just outside Brick Lane and only a short walk away from one of London's most famous historic landmarks, The Tower of London.
