Jessore Science & Technology University

In order to meet the growing demand for higher education and research especially in science & Technology, the Government of Bangladesh took an unprecedented decision for establishing 12 Science & Technology Universities in the country in the year 2001. With a view to creating more opportunities for acquiring higher Science & Technology education for the students of all parts of the country then Government decided to established 12 Science & Technology Universities in 12 greater old districts (where there were not any University) of the country and passed twelve Acts in the parliament . Then Government passed an Act for “Establishment of Jessore Science & Technology University” on 15 July, 2001.
